BEIJING, April 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Lawyers for Warner Bros. Television have denied Charlie Sheen's claim that he's in talks to return to the hit show Two and a Half Men, media reports said Friday.

Sheen said he had an “85 percent” chance of returning to the hit CBS series after "discussions" with program executives, during a radio interview in Boston on Wednesday.

But a letter Thursday from attorneys for Warner Bros. Television to Sheen's lawyer, Marty Singer, dismisses Sheen's claim as "false."

"Those statements are false. As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement with the series," said the letter.

Details of the letter were confirmed by a person close to the situation who requested anonymity because they lacked authority to speak publicly, media reports said.

But Sheen's lawyer maintained that discussions definitely were taking place.

"There have been discussions as late as Tuesday, and all parties have been involved - Warner Bros., CBS, Chuck Lorre [the show's creator] and Charlie Sheen," said Singer.

Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men in March during the show's eighth season after he criticized producer Lorre.

The drug-troubled star has since started a variety show that has been touring the U.S. to mixed reviews.
