BEIJING, April 20 (Xinhuanet) -- After a tense fight for their twin sons' custody, former "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen lost Tuesday against his estranged wife Brooke Mueller, TMZ.com reported.
Charlie and Muller spent about two hours in a downtown Los Angeles courthouse, having a closed-door hearing on who was best suited to care for two-year-old Max and Bob.
The judge sided with Mueller and didn't change the private custody agreement, according to the celebrity website TMZ.com.
The 45-year-old actor, who was fired from the hit CBS TV comedy in March, had planned to argue that Mueller has suffered a drug relapse and is unfit for the twin boys, while both of them have made repeated trips to rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
Sheen filed for divorce from Mueller in November 2010, and the divorce is effective on May 2, 2011.
Mueller was awarded primary physical custody of the twins in the divorce settlement. Last month, she won a temporary restraining order
