BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. actor Ashton Kutcher said Wednesday that replacing the departed Charlie Sheen on the hit CBS sitcom “Two And A Half Men” is like “winning the lottery,” media reported Thursday.
Kutcher, who will reportedly earn 700,000 U.S. dollars per episode plus incentives, for the first time appeared with co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones during CBS’ upfront presentation to advertisers in New York.
The 33-year-old actor said that he "couldn't be more excited" about his new job.
"I've never probably in my 13 years in show business received more phone calls and e-mails from people congratulating me on this job,” he said.
"You'd almost think I won the lottery or something, which I kind of did. I've got the best job in show business, and I am ecstatic about that," he added.
Kutcher stood almost a head taller than either of his co-stars, prompting Cryer to quip to CBS executives Nina Tassler and Les Moonves, “Did you have to get a tall guy?”
And then Cryer suggested a new name for the show: "One and Two Half Men."
