娱乐英语新闻:DreamWorks to produce Bollywood-style animated musical

LOS ANGELES, July 20 (Xinhua) -- DreamWorks Animation will produce the studio's first Bollywood-style animated movie, the studio announced Wednesday.

The animated musical, in which two monkeys become unlikely heroes and save the world from an ancient demon, will be written by Gurinder Chadha and Paul Berges, who collaborated on "Bend It Like Beckham."

"Monkeys of Mumbai" will be directed by Kevin Lima, who has directed a number of films including "A Goofy Movie," "Tarzan," "102 Dalmatians" and "Enchanted."

Lisa Stewart ("Monsters vs. Aliens") and Chris Chase ("Enchanted") will be the producers.

The film will be the studio's first attempt to learn from Bollywood, the Indian version of Hollywood that has a distinctive style of filling its movies with glamorous dancing and singing scenes.
