娱乐英语新闻:Forbes lists Oprah Winfrey as highest-earning woman in entertainment
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Although she no longer hosts a top- rating television talk show, Oprah Winfrey still keeps her money- making title as the highest-earning woman in entertainment, according to latest Forbes magazine.
The former talk show host has earned 290 million U.S. dollars from May 2010 to May 2011, beating Lady Gaga, the second-place earner by a whopping 200 million dollars, staying on top of Forbes ' list of Hollywood's Highest Earning Women.
The 57-year-old queen of talk has focused on her television network, OWN, since she quit her 25-year running daytime talk show in May this year.

Lagy Gaga finished in a distant second place, earning 90 million dollars. Bethenny Frankel, former "Real Housewives of New York" star, was in third place with 55 million dollars. She made the money mainly by the sale of Skinny Girl Margarita drinks to Fortune Brands, a leading liquor firm. She is planning to expand her brand with rumors flying about a possible talk show.
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, 21-year-old country pop singer Taylor Swift, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and Judge Judy Sheindlin all tied in fourth place with 45 million dollars each.
Singer Katy Perry ranked eighth, earning 44 million dollars from sales of "Teenage Dream" album and her endorsement deals including voicing for 3-D animated family film "The Smurfs."
Rounding out the Forbes list are singer Beyonce Knowles and 64- year-old romantic novelist Danielle Steel, grossing 35 million dollars each.
