BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Khloe Kardashian wants a son when she and husband Lamar Odom finally start a family.

Khloe Kardashian wants a baby boy.

The reality TV star hopes when she and her husband, LA Clippers basketball star Lamar Odom, eventually start a family they will have a son because she wants a future ball player.

She told Hollyscoop: "They always say you don't care, and I really don't know if I do care...But I think it would be fun to have a boy because Lamar is a basketball player.

"[I want] to take him to the games and dress him and up and be like 'oh, lets cheer.' A lot of their players will like take their kids to practice with them on certain days, they allow players to do that, which I think is so good for the team, so I would love for my son to do that.

"But I guess girls could do [basketball] too.... I always see basketball players and their wives- they have girls too and they do the same thing. So I don't know, but I just think it would be SO CUTE [to have a boy]."

Khloe, 28, recently embarked on a strict fitness plan in a bid to lose 25 pounds and get bikini ready in time for summer and says she feels more positive after her health kick.

She explained: "I've been on a workout kick and even if it's not necessarily to lose weight, I just think what it does for my mind, it makes me feel like I've released so much stress, and I do think that makes me then feel like I'm ready to take on the world today.

"I've been trying to have a lifestyle change and just work out consistently and try to make that a way of my life."
