娱乐英语新闻:Polish singer wins Vitebsk 2013 Grand Prix
MINSK, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Polish singer Michal Kaczmarek became the winner of the Grand Prix of the international song contest Vitebsk 2013, local media reported on Monday.
Kaczmarek was awarded a Grand Prix diploma and 15,000 U.S. dollars in prize money.
The winner also got the special prize Lira during the closing gala of the 22nd international festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk, Belarus on Monday evening.
A total of 21 contestants from Australia, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Croatia, Czechia and Estonia have taken part in the international song contest this year.
