娱乐英语新闻:Bill Murray's fans dress up as characters in costume contest on "Bill Murray Day"
BEIJING, Sept. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Fans of the comedic actor Bill Murray dressed up as his beloved characters in a costume contest as "Bill Murray Day" was celebrated on Friday at Toronto International Film Festival.
After free screenings of some of Bill Murray’s best films "Stripes," "Groundhog Day" and "Ghostbusters" were shown, the 63-year-old actor promoted at a premiere his new film "St. Vincent."
Bill Murray plays a middle-aged man with eccentric personality who drinks, gambles, and lives alone. The film "St. Vincent" directed by Ted Melfi tells the story of Vincent and his unlikely friendship with the scrawny child who moves in next door.
Enthusiastic fans, many too young to catch "Ghostbusters" when it hit big screens 30 years ago, packed a downtown Toronto theater for a free screening. Some of his fans were able to interact with their star at the film festival.
A fan from Vancouver asked what it was like to be Bill Murray. The actor asked the audience to answer it for themselves.
"It feels good to be you, doesn't it?" he asked, "If you don't feel like you have to rush off and be somewhere, that's just a wonderful sense of wellbeing that begins to circulate up and down your spine."
