NANCHANG, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Seventy-seven people were hospitalized after eating lobsters in a city in east China's Jiangxi Province, local authorities said Friday.
The residents of the city of Ruichang suffered vomiting and diarrhea after attending a lobster feast Thursday night. The hospitalized residents are all in stable condition.
It is believed that the diners might have been sickened by E. coli contamination, according to doctors at the Ruichang People's Hospital.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
