国内英语新闻:Chinese vice premier stresses service sector opening-up
BEIJING, May 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua on Monday called for unwavering efforts in opening up the service sector, with more measures focusing on easing market access and increasing service imports.
Hu, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks during an inspection tour to the Fifth China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services, which opened Monday.
More efforts should be taken to push forward pilot schemes for the innovative development of the service trade, and build a favorable investment environment to unleash market vitality, Hu said.
He also called for efforts to promote new areas in the service sector and sharpen the sector's international competitiveness.
The fair has drawn participants from more than 120 countries and regions, and will include forums and meetings before it concludes on Friday.
