国内英语新闻:China-BiH ties grow closer during COVID-19 pandemic: Chinese ambassador
SARAJEVO, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Ji Ping said in a recent interview with BiH State television that China and BiH have become closer in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a press release from the Chinese Embassy in BiH on Wednesday.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has delayed our original work plans, but instead of becoming estranged, we have become more cooperative," said the Chinese ambassador.
Ji said the top leaders of the two countries have exchanged many letters to express their common desire to join hands to fight the pandemic, adding that the two governments also signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Health and Medical Science to strengthen the medical science cooperation of the two countries.
The ambassador also mentioned several major projects involving Chinese companies in BiH, saying they continues to advance.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and BiH.
