国内英语新闻:Public institutions, big enterprises popular employers among graduates: survey
BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- A recent survey found that public institutions and major private enterprises are the most popular employers among China's new college graduates in the job market.
A survey published by the China Youth Daily earlier this week had polled 1,509 students seeking jobs this year, and found that more than 90 percent consider "stability" an important factor in their dream jobs.
About 36.7 percent of the students surveyed said they want to work in a public institution.
More than 35 percent of the respondents said they prefer to work in a major private enterprise, followed by state-owned enterprises, which were seen as an ideal employer by 34.2 percent of the students.
A total of 35.3 percent of the surveyed said they see their dream jobs in booming traditional industries. However, about 33.9 percent of those polled regarded emerging industries as a good choice.
The students said they expect to get more guidance on interview skills and career planning, the survey noted.
