The record world champion came back when German defender fouled Brazil defender Dani Alves to produce a penalty. Brazil striker Robinho converted the penalty into bottom left to shorten the score to 2-1.
Germany remained unfazed and extended the lead to 3-1 through striker Andre Schuerrle who capitalized on an error by Brazil defence 10 minutes before final whistle.
In the dying seconds of the added time, Brazil striker Neymar shortened the score to 3-2 with a well placed shot from penalty line.
