HOUSTON, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS) on Tuesday announced Philadelphia Union's Sebastien Le Toux as winner of the 2011 Xbox 360 Individual Fair Play Award for the second year running.

Le Toux is the third MLS player to collect the honor in back-to-back years, following in the footsteps of Michael Parkhurst (2007-2008) and Steve Ralston (1999-2000) as the only other player to win the award multiple times as well as in back-to-back seasons.

This year, the Philadelphia Union's attacker beat Colorado Rapids defender Kosuke Kimura and New England Revolution defender Darrius Barnes for the award.

In 3,060 minutes of action for the Philadelphia Union this season, the French striker committed just 20 fouls and didn't receive a yellow card. He scored 11 goals and nine assists to lead the Union in each category as they made their first appearance in the MLS playoffs in just their second year of existence.

In addition to the number of fouls committed and cards awarded, MLS looked at Disciplinary Committee action and overall sportsmanlike behavior to select the finalists and winner for the individual honor.

After being left uNPRotected by Seattle Sounders FC in the 2009 MLS Expansion Draft, Le Toux has emerged as one of the premier offensive stars in Major League Soccer with the Philadelphia Union. The versatile attacker is widely regarded as one of the hardest workers in the league, a characteristic that endeared him as a fan favorite in Seattle long before he began scoring at a prolific rate in Philadelphia.

With the Philadelphia Union, Le Toux has played both as a forward and midfielder, using speed, accurate finishing, deft passing and his tremendous work-rate to become an MLS All-Star for the first time in 2010.

He set an MLS record for percentage involvement in his club's goals with a 71.4 percent mark and also won the MLS Individual Fair Play Award after receiving no cards all season.

The French player was acquired by Philadelphia on November 25, 2009 in the MLS Expansion Draft from Seattle Sounders FC.
