体坛英语新闻：FC Barcelona President Rosell to visit China for close links

MADRID, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona President Sandro Rosell will lead a delegation from the club to visit China between November 25 and 28, it was announced by the club on Monday.

The President of the reigning Spanish and European Champions will visit China in order to strengthen institutional and commercial links between Barca and the country.

"We want to establish a permanent link with Chinese society," explained Rosell after signing an agreement with the company Inter Sports.

Rosell will spend three days in Beijing and Shanghai and will be accompanied by the club's vice president for economic affairs, Javier Faus, the director of the technological area, Didac Lee, director general, Antoni Rossich and the commercial and marketing director, Laurent Colette.

The three days will be filled with meetings with local organisations and purely commercial meetings.

Barcelona will also be present and the gala held by the China Foundation for Disabled Persons, an entity led by Deng Pufang, the son of then top Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, which works to help the 80 million handicapped people in China.

Barca will contribute various items for the auction raised to help raise funds, among them a boot signed by Andres Iniesta, who scored the winning goal in the 2010 World Cup final, and four tickets to travel to Barcelona to attend a Champions League match.
