体坛英语新闻:French racers win in Dakar Rally
LIMA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- French racers Stephane Peterhansel, in a Mini, won his 10th title in the Dakar Rally on Sunday and his countryman Cyril Despres won in the motorcycle category.
Peterhansel won the title ahead of Spanish racer Nani Roma by 41 minutes and 56 seconds. The Frenchman had won six times on a motorbike and three times in a car in the Dakar Rally before the latest win in Lima. South African racer Ginil de Villiers finished third with 1:13:25 behind Peterhansel.
In the motorcycle section, Despres, who had won the Dakar Rally in 2005, 2007 and 2010, won the game with a 53:20 lead over defending champion Marc Coma from Spain. Helder Rodrigues from Portugal finished third with 01:11:17 behind the winner.
