体坛英语新闻:Futcher, Shin, Stanford contiue to lead HSBC Women's Champions
SINGAPORE, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- American golfers Katie Futcher and Angela Stanford and South Korea's Jenny Shin continued to lead the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore after three rounds, while world No. 1 Yani Tseng made it closer to the leading trio.
The leading three all shot matching one-under 71s in the third round on Saturday to stay ahead. They are all on nine-under 207 to stay two shots ahead of Chinese player Feng Shanshan.
Feng had a three-under 69 at the Tanah Merah Country Club's Garden Course to overtake some of the other players. She shared the seventh place with other players on Friday.
Tseng fired a day's best 67 to move up the leader board. She is now on six-under 210, sharing the fifth place with South Korean players Shin Ji Yai and Choi Na Yeon at the 1.4 million U.S. dollars event.
The world No. 1 said hit the ball better on Saturday and was having fun with so many fans coming out to support the players.
"Today I just tell myself, I want to try to make birdie every hole, like as many birdies as I can and try to get close every shot ... be aggressive and don't worry about it too much," she said.
