RIO DE JANEIRO, March 16 (Xinhua) -- FIFA President Joseph Blatter said on Friday that Brazil will fulfill all the commitments made to the institution for the realization of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in the country.

Earlier in the day, Blatter met with Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff to discuss the organization of the World Cup. Brazil and FIFA recently had problems due to a comment made by FIFA's secretary-general Jerome Valcke, which the Brazilian Sports Minister considered offensive.

There has also been an issue with the presence of alcoholic drinks in the stadiums. Brazil prohibited the sale of alcohol in stadiums over a decade ago, in an attempt to curb the fights between football fans during and after matches.

But the Cup foresees alcohol in the stadiums, and FIFA has beer companies among its sponsors.

As he left the meeting with President Rousseff, Blatter did not comment on Valcke's words, saying only that it was an internal problem of FIFA. Blatter praised Brazil and the Brazilian government, and assured that FIFA will work alongside the government for the success of the Cup.

"We will work together, with out hands joined. The government, the politicians, and the people of Brazil, along with FIFA, will be able to present the most extraordinary World Cup ever made," he said.

Blatter expressed his confidence in President Rousseff. According to him, the President said her administration will fulfill all the commitments made by her predecessor, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

"I have confidence in Brazil and its government," Blatter said.
