体坛英语新闻：Rwanda's Junior Wasps shock Uganda's Hippos in build-up game

KAMPALA, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Uganda's U20 football team (Hippos) on Wednesday suffered defeat at the hands of visiting Rwanda's Junior Wasps in an international friendly as the two teams prepare for the forthcoming CAF Africa U-20 Championship qualifier.

The Rwandese scored in each half to win 2-0 in a game held at Nakivubo Stadium in the Uganda capital Kampala.

Farouk Ruhinda and Kipson Atuhaire netted the goals for the visiting side, while Uganda's Hippos completely failed to play a good game.

The two youthful sides settled for a 1-1 draw in Kigali on Feb. 28. The win for Rwanda is a big boost as they prepare to face Namibia in the CAF Africa U-20 Championship in April.

Uganda will battle Mozambique in the same event and have the chance of taking on giants Ghana if they go through.

The Hippos had Fred Nkata being the most outstanding player for the home team, but poor finishing was also their main undoing.

"We have to work very hard to rectify all our mistakes before the Mozambique game next month," said Uganda Hippos coach Paul Nkata.

Rwanda's coach Richard Tardy was a happy man and said it was good his boys had the confidence to score two goals away from home.

"We still have to work hard because I want them to play better than this before we face Namibia," said Tardy.
