体坛英语新闻：Leandro Damiao leads Internacional to 3-0 win

RIO DE JANEIRO, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Host to Sao Jose in the fourth round of Farroupilha Cup, Internacional cruised to a 3-0 win on Sunday.

With two goals from star striker Leandro Damiao, Internacional improved its tournament winning streak to four games.

Leandro Damaio almost scored his team's first goal, but his shot was slightly deflected by keeper Tiago Volpi. The ball rolled to Dataolo who took advantage of the loose ball to score in the 8th minute of play.

Returning to the second half, Damiao increased his team's lead in the 46th minute by slamming a long-range shot that caught Volpi off-guard and sailed into the upper left corner of the goal.

Damiao scored his second goal of the match in additional time. Receiving a crossed ball, Marcos Aurelio dropped the ball behind him to a charging Damiao who one-timed the ball past Volpi and into the back of the goal.

The win gives Internacional 12 points and leadership of Group A. In the next round of play of the second half of the Rio Grande do Sul state championship, the team will travel to face Lajeadense on March 28. One more win will automatically qualify the team into the quarterfinals of the Farroupilha Cup.
