体坛英语新闻:South Africa kicks Scotland out of world top 8 rugby teams
EDINBURGH, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- South Africa beat Scotland 21-10 in the second of three EMC Tests here on Saturday, kicking Scotland out of the world's top eight.
During the match at Murrayfield stadium which was live broadcast by BBC one, Scotland's second-half fightback was not sufficient to make up for a first-half bullying by South Africa with 14-3 at the break.
The defeat is expected to result in an unfavorable 2015 World Cup draw scheduled on Dec. 3, with two other sides from the top eight in the rankings in their pool. On Nov. 11, The All Blacks of New Zealand, ranked No. 1 in the world, beat the Scotland team 51-22.
The South Africa's national rugby team is set to face England next week and expects to complete a clean-sweep of victories over northern hemisphere sides, with an overcome of Ireland last week.
Meanwhile, the Scotland team is looking forward to a victory over Tonga, which, however, would not change the fact for Scotland out of the top eight in the all-important rankings.
