BERLIN, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Martin Harnik ended Stuttgart's negative run thanks to the 1-0 victory at Hoffenheim while Nuremberg's substitute Sebastian Polter secured a late 2-2 draw with Hannover to close the 22nd round of Bundesliga on Sunday.

Struggling Stuttgart showed a vital sign when they overcame relegation threatened Hoffenheim thanks to the winner by Harnik who ended a negative run of five losses.

Harnik smoothed the way for the first victory in 2013 with only three minutes into the match when he exploited an Ibrahim Traore cross at the far post.

However, it was an unexciting match as both sides were unable to add another goal over the remaining 87 minutes.

Thus, Stuttgart move from the 14th to 12th position with 28 points whilst Hoffenheim failed to make a step out of the Bundesliga bottom on the 16th position with 16 points.

Nuremberg came back twice to force Hannover to share points owing to the last minute equalizer by Polter.

From the kick off, the "Club" pressed Hannover into defence to neutralize their offensive actions. Hannover staged poor passing and were unable to find their rhythm.

Nuremberg's Hiroshi Kiyotake and Tomas Pekhart came close to open the scoring meanwhile Hannover needed thirty minutes to approach Nuremberg's goal with a long range effort by Mohammed Abdelloue.

It was a wakening call for Hannover as Szabolcs Huszti broke the deadlock with a solo run and goal, with four minutes left in the first half.

After the break Abdellaoue had the chance to double the lead but he pulled wide from 18 meters.

Nuremberg remained unfazed and responded as Timm Klose headed home a cross by Kiyotake to level the scores with 53 minutes into the match.

The "Club" were again in control of the proceedings but still Hannover grabbed the lead against the run of the game when Abdellaoue capitalized on a misplaced on the left wing to assist Dider Ya Konan inside the box at the 68th minute.

The hosts tried to kill the clock but all their efforts in doing so were destroyed by Nuremberg's Sebastian Polter, who ensured parity at the second minute of the injury time to astonish Hannover.

Hannover climb from the 9th to 8th position with 30 points meanwhile Nuremberg drop from the 13th to 14th place with 26 points.
