体坛英语新闻:Ethiopia' s Gerbaba, Sweden' s Andersson win Stockholm Marathon
STOCKHOLM, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopia' s Shumi Gerbaba Eticha and Isabellah Andersson from Sweden respectively won the men' s and women' s title of the 2013 Stockholm Marathon on Saturday.
Gerbaba claimed the first place in 2:16:13, who had won the race for the second time since 2011. Stephen Chelimo from Kenya came second in the race in 2:17:51.
Sweden' s Andersson won the women' s title for the fifth time with the result being 2:33:49 and she was the winner of the Stockholm Marathon in the four consecutive years between 2008 and 2011.
Halima Hassen Beriso from Ethiopia ended second in 2:41:57.
This year around 21,500 participated in the 35th Stockholm Marathon and they were greeted at the finish line in the 1912 Olympic Stadium in the Stockholm city.
