体坛英语新闻：German side Hannover sign midfielder Edgar Prib

BERLIN, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Bundesliga side Hannover signed Edgar Prib from relegated side Greuther Fuerth until June 2017, both clubs announced on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old left footer started his career at Greuther Fuerth in 1996 to work his way through to the first team in 2009- 2010.

"With Edgar Prib we signed a versatile midfield all-rounder who already demonstrated his skills at Fuerth," Hannover coach Mirko Slomka said in official press release.

The versatile midfielder scored 3 goals in 27 appearances in the past season. He is the second new arrival following Salif Sane who joined from French side Nancy Lorraine. Both sides agreed to maintain silence over further contract details.

Hannover finished the past season 9th position, which was unable to ensure a berth in any European competition.

"We have tried hard to sign the player, the more delighted we are that he opted for Hannover," director of sports Dirk Dufner said.
