体坛英语新闻:Lee Chong Wei vows to bounce back after defeat in World Championship
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's top shuttler Lee Chong Wei on Monday vowed to bounce back despite defeat in the badminton world championship.
The world ranking No. 1 retired due to leg cramps during the world championship final against his arch rival Lin Dan of China, who won a record fifth world title.
Lee's coaches have slammed the organizers for turning off the air-conditioning during the final that led to the 30-year-old's retire.
Arriving home on Monday, a disappointed Lee admitted that the heat certainly affected him during the match. He was quoted by Sinchew Daily as saying that he would not blame anyone as he lost the match due to his own mistakes.
Despite another failed attempt to win his first world title, Lee vowed to bounce back with the 2016 Olympics as the main target.
He said he would take some rest and spend some time with family, but will be back on court soon.
