体坛英语新闻:Asian Youth Games urged to 'Say No to Doping'
NANJING, China, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- The World Anti-Doping Agency is warning all athletes at the Asian Youth Games to 'Say No To Doping' in a themed activity that began Friday, the Games' opening day of competition.
Held at the Athletes' Village, located in Nanjing University of Technology, the activity was designed to provide young athletes with anti-doping education and to motivate young athletes to understand the dangers of using illegal substances.
The activity will continue until the 2nd Asian Youth Games closes on August 24.
The Asian Youth Games in Nanjing has established seven doping control teams, carrying out pre- and in-competition testing for all 16 sports of the Games.
All samples will be sent for testing to a Beijing doping detection laboratory which is approved by the World Anti-Doping Agency and test results will be submitted directly to the Medical Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia.
