LONDON, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Tottenham Hotspur suffered a second-half slump on Sunday as West Ham United clinched their first Premier league victory at White Hart Lane since 1999.

The North London club enjoyed a 61 percent of possession to control the momentum and created more open chances before the hour, but were stunned by the three-goal relay in 13 minutes of the Hammers.

Winston Reid found space following a corner in the area and made close-range effort to give visitor the lead. Ricardo Vaz Te capitalized on a rebound from keeper Hugo Lloris and added a lucky second with ease.

The most thrilling goal of the game then came when Ravel Morrison started his long-distance raid from the midfield to run the length of the home side half before beating two central defenders with his pace, sealing the 3-0 victory.

The vital three points moved West Ham out of the bottom three and lifted them to the 13th while Tottenham slipped to sixth place in the table after seven rounds.

Tottenham's rival Arsenal topped the table with goal difference thanks to a Jack Wilshere's leveller earning them a point at West Bromwich.

West Brom cheered home fans three minutes before the break when an unmarked Claudio Yacob shattered the deadlock with a header.

The Gunners, registering a 10-match winning streak, could have been in deeper trouble had the veteran striker Nicolas Anelka converted two good chances into goals for the home side.

However, the England midfielder had the final say. The long-range deflected shot in the second half levelled for Arsenal and was Wilshere's first league goal in nearly three years.

The point ensured Arsenal to lead the table for a period of time as two-week international break started.

Also on Sunday, Chelsea outscored Norwich 3-1 with two late goals from Eden Hazard and Willian to clinch their first away league victory of the season and head into the third place, trailing Arsenal and Liverpool two points.

Southampton secured the final berth of top four after seeing off Swansea 2-0 to grab a third successive win.
