KAMPALA, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has warned Ugandan clubs for pulling out after registering for different CAF competitions.

Rogers Mulindwa, the Uganda FA spokesman told Xinhua in an interview on Tuesday that they received a letter issued by the CAF Secretary General Hichham El Amrani, asking clubs to be very careful on issues to do with withdrawing after they have registered.

"CAF is discouraging clubs from giving funny reasons so that they withdraw from tournaments. They have put in place big fines and clubs must be aware that they will pay the price if they pull out," Mulindwa said.

The FA spokesman also confirmed that KCCA FC and SC Victoria University who will represent the country in the 2014 CAF Orange Champions League and CAF Orange Confederations Cup respectively have entered the events.

"The two teams have each paid the 10,000 U.S. dollar mandatory caution fee to us and we are now waiting for the actual names that will be sent to CAF," Mulindwa said.

"This money we receive from them is simply for caution so that if they misbehave and CAF asks them to pay fines, then we use this money. Otherwise we return this money to the teams when they do not incur any fines," explained Mulindwa.
