LONDON, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Phil Jones will miss England's final match of 2013 against Germany because of injury.
The Football Association confirmed that Jones picked up his injury during England's 2-0 defeat to Chile on Friday evening.
"Following a scan today (Saturday), he has returned to his club," said FA in a statement.
The Manchester United defender was replaced by Chris Smalling before the hour in England's first warm-up for 2014 World Cup finals on Friday.
Before him, Manchester United players Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck have already been ruled out of the two friendlies against Chile and Germany due to injury.
The Three Lions will face Germany on Tuesday night at Wembley. It will be England's final match of this year.
