BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Randolph Morris scored 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Beijing Ducks eased past the Qingdao Doublestars 108-88 Friday at home for their third straight victory in this season.

Former NBA star Stephon Marbury had 15 points and dished out 5 assists for the Ducks, and teammate Sun Yue contributed a career-high 4 blocks and 13 points. Zhang Songtao and Zhai Xiaochuan scored 15 and 10 points respectively.

Marbury's buzzer-beating 3-pointer put Beijing 26-18 in front at the end of the first quarter, as Qingdao's strategy of using three foreign players didn't work well.

At half time, Qingdao fell behind 21 points and Morris was replaced in the third quarter due to the big lead.

Peter Ramos's 23 points and 13 rebounds did not save Qingdao Doublestars, which have yet to win a game after three rounds.

Guangdong Hongyuan, Beijing's main rival for the CBA championship, also won their third consecutive game on Wednesday.

Yi Jianlian scored 31 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Guangdong to a 111-96 road victory over Liaoning Hengye.

Joshua Powell had 21 points and 12 rebounds, Khalif Wyatt had 22 points, Zhu Fangyu and Wang Shipeng combined for 27 points.

Liaoning led by seven points at the end of the first quarter, but the absence of its two key players - Han Dejun and Guo Ailuo, who were injured before the game, was felt as Hengye could not hold the defending champions at bay.

The Shanghai Sharks, which is owned by Yao Ming, were humiliated 108-61 by Xinjiang Guanghui.

"Everyone saw our poor performance so I had nothing to say, we need to figure out what's going on," said Shanghai head coach Wang Qunsaid.

In other games, Foshan Long Lions beat Sichuan Jinqiang 123-114, Fujian SBS beat Shanxi Fenjiu 136-99, Zhejiang Chouzhou defeated Bayi Fubang 115-91, Jiangsu Dragons downed Tianjin Ronggong 98-87, Shandong Gold topped Zhejiang Guangsha 111-100, and Dongguan Marco Polo earned their first win of the season with a 85-82 victory over Jinlin Northeast Tigers.
