MINSK, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Belarusian Victoria Azarenka retained second place in the WTA ranking after Australian Open quarterfinal exit.

American Serena Williams holds the first place with 13,000 points, while Victoria Azarenka remains at second with 6,581 points in the latest WTA Rankings.

Both Williams and Azarenka have made early exit from the 2014 Australian Open tournament last week. The winner of the Australian Open, China's Li Na moved into third place.
