SAN JOSE, March 20 (Xinhua) -- China has seen an early exit in FIFA U-17 World Cup soccer tournament in Costa Rica after the 4-0 defeat to Mexico on Thursday.
China head coach Gao Hong said Mexico was too strong for the Chinese team.
Nigeria beat Colombia 2-1 in another match in group D.
In Group A, Venezuela beat Zambia 4-0 while Italy edged Costa Rica 1-0. In Group B, Chana beat Germany 1-0 and South Korea tied Canada 1-1.
Group C saw Japan whitewash Paraguay 10-0 and Spain outclass New Zealand 2-0.
