体坛英语新闻:Albertini calls for hard work from AC Milan
ROME, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Former AC Milan midfielder Demetrio Albertini has called for the Rossoneri to work hard to overcome their current crisis.
Clarence Seedorf's side, who are languishing at 12th in Serie A, will face an uphill task on Wednesday when they go to play at Fiorentina.
Albertini suggested that the Milan could regain the ground if they find solutions to their problems.
"There must be a way to fix what is broken because the Milan squad is better than the league table suggests. Work is everything," he said.
He said the Milan players must learn to accept the fans' dissatisfaction.
"In 1998 we were struggling, I wasn't feeling good, but it gets to you when you go onto the pitch and get booed. The fans have every right to protest," he said.
The 42-year-old vice president of Italy Soccer Association disclosed that they are still discussing the contract renewal with Italy head coach Cesare Prandelli.
"Prandelli's renewal? We will discuss it and then reveal the details," he added.
