ROME, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens scored as Napoli snapped Juventus' 22-match unbeaten streak in Serie A with a 2-0 win at home on Sunday.

Defending champions Juventus went into their match with straight wins in the league but appeared toothless without the suspended Carlos Tevez in front of inspired Napoli.

Callejon gave the hosts the lead in the 37th minute before substitute Dries Mertens wrapped up the win with nine minutes to go. Juventus could have conceded more if without the superb saves from their veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

The defeat, Juventus' second this season, put them with 11 points clear of Roma, who won 2-0 earlier in the day at Sassuolo.

The second-placed visitors notched up their fourth straight win as they took a half-time lead through Mattia Destro before Michel Bastos added a second deep into second-half stoppage time.

Antonio Candreva's stoppage-time winner helped Lazio creep closer to the Europa League places with a 3-2 home victory over Parma.

The Gialloblu were unbeaten in 17 games until losing to Juventus in midweek and their second straight defeat allowed Lazio to close to within two points of their current position of sixth in the Serie A table.

Jonathan Biabiany cancelled out Senad Lulic's opener before Michael Ciani's own-goal brought Parma level once again following Miroslav Klose's second-half effort, but Italy winger Candreva decided the outcome at the death.

Other results on Sunday saw Luca Toni strike twice as 10-man Verona beat Genoa 3-0, while Torino edged Cagliari 2-1 and Sampdoria and Fiorentina played out a goalless draw.
