体坛英语新闻:Bayern Munich ban Daily Mirror and The Sun journalists
BERLIN, April 3 (Xinhua) -- German giants Bayern Munich react on reports in English media as they deny Daily Mirror and The Sun journalists accreditation for the second leg, the club said in an official statement via their webpage on Thursday.
Daily Mirror and The Sun representatives won't receive an accreditation for the upcoming second leg UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Manchester United.
The Sun headlined on Wednesday "You Schwein" meanwhile the Daily Mirror covered a story caption "Your Dirty Schwein". Thus Bayern announced that they won't allow any representative to attend the match at the Allianz Arena.
"UK media the Daily Mirror and The Sun published disrespectful, discriminatory and personally insulting 'reports' about our player Bastian Schweinsteiger. This is unacceptable to FC Bayern Munich and the club strongly condemns reporting of this nature," the Bavarians said.
Bastian Schweinsteiger scored the equalizer against Manchester United before he was sent off for his second yellow card in the dying minutes of the game.
The Bavarians continue saying: "FC Bayern Munich will not issue media accreditation to any representatives of the Daily Mirror and The Sun for the return fixture between FC Bayern Munich and Manchester United at the Allianz Arena on April 9, 2014."
