体坛英语新闻：Jeptoo breaks course record to defend Boston Marathon title

BOSTON, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Rita Jeptoo of Kenya broke the course record to win her third, and second straight Boston Marathon women's title here on Monday.

Jeptoo finished her run with 2:18:57, almost two minutes faster than the course record set by Kenya's Margaret Okayo in 2002.

Jeptoo, who also won the race in 2006 and 2013, became the seven player in the event history who can collect at least three titles.

Ethiopia duo Buzunesh Deba and Jemima Jelagat Sumgong collected the second and third place.
