WASHINGTON, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The 68th-ranked Steve Johnson managed to move up another step after beating ninth seed Ivo Karlovic 3-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (7) on Thursday.
Johnson made into the quarterfinal, in which he would face the second seed Milos Raonic, who beat Lleyton Hewitt 7-6 (1), 7-6 (3).
