体坛英语新闻:Brazil confirms October friendly against Japan
RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Brazil will meet Japan in a friendly at Singapore's National Stadium on October 14, the South American country's football confederation said Thursday.
The clash will be Brazil's fourth outing under new coach Dunga, who last month replaced Luiz Felipe Scolari after the team's failure to reach the World Cup final as hosts and pre-tournament favorites.
It will follow the Selecao's friendlies against Colombia (Sep. 5), Ecuador (Sep. 9) and Argentina (Oct. 11).
Dunga, who also coached Brazil from 2006 to 2010, will name his squad for the matches against Colombia and Ecuador on August 19.
The last time Brazil and Japan met was the opening match of last year's Confederations Cup, which the Selecao won 3-0 in Brasilia.
