BERLIN, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang scored for Dortmund to snatch the DFL (German Soccer League) Supercup for the second time in row on Wednesday.

Juergen Klopp's men sealed the first title of the season, as Bayern Munich were unable to respond to the goals by Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang in front of 80,667 spectators at the Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund started aggressive from the kick off but yet Bayern worked out the first threatening opportunity of the game when Xherdan Shaqiri failed to overcome Mitchell Langerak at the second minute from close range.

The "BVB" came to their first chance eight minutes later when Italian new arrival Ciro Immobile pulled just wide of the left post. The first chance gave Dortmund more confidence to increase their offensive power. Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer had to deny Oliver Kirch's attempt from inside the box minutes later.

With 22 minutes played Dortmund were able to break the deadlock through Mkhitaryan whose follow up shot into the top left corner opened the scoring.

Bayern remained relatively harmless and had to thank their goalkeeper Neuer who defused most of Dortmund attacks.

However, things started where they left off after the break as Dortmund dictated the pace whereas Bayern Munich failed to get a foothold into the match. Dortmund piled on the pressure to double the lead at the 61st minute as Aubameyang headed home Lukas Piszczek's cross into the box.

It was clearly the winner for the "BVB" as Bayern barley posed a threat for Dortmund's defence. Only a set by piece by Bayern David Alaba forced Dortmund goalkeeper Langerak to make a save at the 80th minute.

Dortmund is thus the record holder of the DFL Supercup with five victories, followed by Bayern with four titles.

"We defended sensationally. We played ninety minute absolutely consistent. It was a deserved victory today," Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp said.
