MADRID, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona will go into the international break as leaders of the BBVA Primera Liga and without having conceded a goal in their first 7 games of the season after a 2-0 win away to Rayo Vallecano.

Goals from Leo Messi and Neymar, who both took advantage of Rayo pushing their defense too far forward, after 35 and 36 minutes, virtually sealed the result against a rival that never gave up, but which ended the game with just nine players on the pitch after having Jorge Morcillo and Aquino sent off for seeing two yellow cards each.

All the goals came in the first 28 minutes as second place Valencia defeated third place Atletico Madrid in the Mestalla Stadium.

Atletico had played Champions League on Wednesday and got off to a dreadful start after just five minutes when Joao Miranda headed a speculative goal past goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya.

Two minutes later Andre Gomez took advantage of some weak defending to beat three defenders and score with a left foot shot, while Nicolas Otamendi headed Valencia's third after just 13 minutes.

Mario Mandzukic gave Atletico a lifeline with a headed goal on 28 minutes and things could have been different had Guillermo Siqueira not seen a 45th minute penalty saved by Valencia's Diego Alves.

As it was Atletico worked hard at the start of the second half, but ran out of steam as the game progressed and got increasingly bad tempered and they ended with 10 men after Alessio Cerci was shown a second yellow card for deliberate handball in injury time.

Eibar and Levante served up a thrilling 3-3 draw in a rainy Ipurua Stadium in which Eibar again showed their character coming back from 0-2 down and 2-3 down to salvage a last minute point.

Former Eibar forward, Jose Luis Morales and Camarasa put Levante 0-2 ahead before the break but Eibar fought back in the second half through Javi Lara and a magnificent volley from Saul Berjon.

Victor Casadesus put Levante back ahead with 10 minutes remaining, but Federico Piovaccari, who had seen a goal wrongly ruled out for offside 15 minutes previously, made it 3-3 with virtually the last kick of the game.

In the late kick offs a controversial penalty gave Malaga a 2-1 win at home to Granada, while Tomar Hemed's late header assured a 2-2 draw between Almeria and Elche.
