MADRID, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid chalked up their 11th successive win as they steamrollered their way past Granada in the Los Carmenes Stadium 0-4 on Saturday afternoon.

Celebrating his 700th appearance as a professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 17th league goal of the campaign after just two minutes. Jelson Murillo was guilty of dwelling on the ball and dispossessed by Dani Carvajal. He fed the ball to Karim Benzema, whose pass to Ronaldo was met by the striker' s right foot to nestle in the back of the net, before Granada keeper, Roberto had even touched the ball.

Benzema was to turn provider again after 32 minutes when his back-flick was met by a spectacular volley from James Rodriguez, which dipped over Roberto to make it 2-0.

The intervening half hour had seen Madrid dominate the game with Ronaldo, James and Benzema all going close.

Indeed it was not until the 34th minute that Madrid keeper, Iker Casillas needed to touch the ball with his hands as he gathered a comfortable shot.

The only setback for Madrid was towards the end of the half when Carvajal was forced off with a muscle injury, which could see him miss Wednesday' s Champions League tie at home to Liverpool.

It only needed eight minutes of the second half for the result to be put beyond doubt when Benzema turned from provider to goalscorer. The Frenchman scored his fifth league goal of the campaign on the day he celebrated his 250th Real Madrid appearance with a cool finish after Ronaldo backheel put him through.

Granada substitute Ruben Rochina wasted a great chance for his side when he opted to bring the ball onto his left foot rather than shoot with his right with the goal standing inviting before him.

Arbeloa almost added a fourth for Real Madrid with 10 minutes left after another Benzema assist, but Roberto made a good save to deny him, although he was helpless to stop James scoring from close range as Real Madrid caught Granada on the break.
