体坛英语新闻：Unbeaten Liaoning keeps Shanghai winless

BEIJING, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Liaoning edged Shanghai out at 96-91 to lead the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league standings with an unbeaten 6-0 while Shanghai was still winless.

Liaoning's Lester Hudson scored seven of his 19 points in the three minutes to keep Liaoning away from their first loss. The guard made his first three-pointer with two minutes and 34 seconds to the end of the match after missing the previous nine attempts and grabbed a defensive rebound with less than 30 seconds on the clock to secure Liaoning the victory. Hudson also took 10 rebounds and dished out five assists.

Shanghai's Michael Beasley had a match-high 29 points, along with 13 rebounds but was still unable to give Shanghai their first victory of the season.

Jilin's Dominique Jones, who led the scoreboard with an average 42.8 points per game before tonight's match, was forced to only 24 points by defending champion Beijing. Beijing is now 5-1 after the 111-92 win.Randolph Morris led Beijing with 30 points and 12 rebounds while Li Gen and Zhu Yanxi combined for 39 points.

Errick McCollum scored 63 points for Zhejiang but his team still suffer their fourth loss in six games as Qingdao won at 146-120. Seven Qingdao players scored double digits.

Jiangsu came back from a 20-point deficit to beat Chongqing 125-108. Hu Xuefeng dished out six assists for Jiangsu and had a total 2203 assists in his CBA career, 12 short from Chongqing's Lv Xiaoming. The veteran's 18 points gave Jiangsu their first away victory of the season.

In friday's other matches, Guangdong beat Foshan 123-116 for their fifth straight victory. Xinjiang beat Tianjin 128-101. Bayi lost to Fujian at 103-107 and failed to seize their first win. Dongguan defeated Sichuan at 131-113. Shandong beat Guangsha 113-98. Shanxi beat Tongxi 114-107.
