体坛英语新闻:South Korea wins two golds in Judo Grand Slam Day Three
TOKYO, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The three-day Judo Grand Slam Tokyo tournament ended here on Sunday, with South Korea winning two out of five titles in the last day's competition.
Gwak Dong Han from South Korea defeated Japanese two-time world championships silver medalist Daiki Nishiyama in the men's 90kg final.
The under 100kg final witnessed a shock defeat of top seeded Frenchman Cyrille Maret at the hands of South Korean Cho Gu Ham.
In the over 100kg final, Renat Saidov of Russia defeated Georgian Lavani Matiashvili.
In the women's bracket, 21-year-old Nami Inamori of the host scored an ippon against countrywoman Sara Asahina to capture the women's over 78 kg category, winning her first career Grand Slam victory.
The 164-centimeter girl said after toppling her 176cm opponent: "I had trained to get bigger opponents off-balance. It was exhilarating."
At 78kg, London Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison of the United States got the first place.
The next Judo Grand Prix will take place next February in Germany.
