体坛英语新闻：Ronaldo looking to do even better with title clean sweep in New Year

MADRID, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid striker Cristano Ronaldo enjoyed an incredible 2014 and in an interview with Spanish sports paper, Diario AS, on Saturday the Portuguese ace said he was looking forward to an even better 2015.

The year 2014 has seen Ronaldo and his club won the Spanish Cup (although he missed the final), while Real Madrid also lifted the Champions League, European Supercup trophies and ended the year on a high note by winning the World Club Championship and as leaders of the BBVA Primera Liga.

On an individual note, Ronaldo was the winner of the Balon D'Or and has netted 56 goals over the past 12 months.

"We have had some magnificent moments. Maybe the Champions League was the best to win, but they were all great," he said, looking ahead to the coming year.

"I hope 2015 is even better. We have a team spirit which could lead to us winning the maximum possible amount of titles. That will be the dream and it is possible for us to do that, because Real Madrid are always a candidate to win every competition we play in. We are going to do everything possible to make it happen," he said.

Ronaldo played a big role in his club's success, but also highlighted coach Carlo Ancelotti as the man who made it possible,

"He is very important. He is a great coach and a great person and we are all delighted to work with him, because together we are a united family, which will try and do even better (in 2015) than in 2014," said Ronaldo.
