TORONTO, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Toronto Raptors recovered from a 20-point deficit to beat Los Angeles Clippers 123-107 in NBA action on Friday evening.

In front of a capacity Air Canada Centre crowd, Toronto found themselves down 30-10 with 3:09 left in the first quarter. By the end of the quarter, Toronto cut the lead to 15.

By the end of the half, Raptors pulled within two, 59-57. Mid-way into the third quarter, Toronto captured the lead for the first time in the game as part of a 16-2 run that propelled Toronto a 79-65 lead with 5:47 left in the quarter.

Toronto led by double digits for the remainder of the game and by as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter.

"The whole second unit came in and gave us a big spark in the second quarter, the opposite of what had happened against Brooklyn in the previous game," said Raptors head coach Dwane Casey following the victory. "I love the way we bounced back."

Led by 18 points from guard Louis Williams, Raptors' bench outscored Clippers 46-22. Toronto's reserves scored 22 points in the second quarter alone.

Overall, Toronto shot .533 (40-for-75) from the field and had seven players in double figures scoring. Toronto also improves to 29-8 when they score 100 or more points on the season.

Despite the offensive efficiencies, Casey was also impressed with his team's performance on the defensive end, especially in the final three frames.

"I love the fight and tenacity we had defensively against one of the top scoring teams in the league," said Casey. "I love the way the guys responded."

Toronto held Clippers to 73 points in the final three quarters. Clippers entered the game as the third highest scoring team, averaging 106.5 points per game, 79.5 points per three quarters.

With 31 games remaining in the season, Toronto sits in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 34-17 record.
