SUZHOU, China, April 26 (Xinhua) -- China's Mu Zi hopes to shine, while keeping a low key after two qualification wins at the 53rd World Table Tennis Championships here on Sunday.

Unranked Mu was the only player of the Chinese team that fought for a berth of last 128 though qualifications. She was in Group 10, along with Aschwanden Rahel of Switzerland, Phillips Megan of Wales and Whitaker Corinna of Scotland.

Mu beat Rahel 11-5, 11-3, 11-8, 11-6, before uppering Megan 11-7, 11-3, 11-3, 11-5.

After needing three points in the first game to adjust herself to the debut in 2015 table tennis worlds, Mu made a quick bounce back and secured the win with just half an hour against Rahel.

"I am a little nervous during the first three points. Due to hand injury, I didn't have too much training during the past several weeks, and it's OK for me today," she said.

Mu got the second ticket for this tournament through the Chinese team's scrimmage, overshadowing current world No. 1 Ding Ning and Grand Slam winner Li Xiaoxia, drawing much highlight on herself as a "dark horse".

"Game by game. I hope to have some magics here, but it's just the beginning."

"So many uncertainties ahead. Also, it's my first game in the World Championships, so it's not fit for me to have a detailed goal," she added.

Next Monday, Mu will have the last group match with Corinna.

The 53rd World Table Tennis Championships runs from April 26 to May 3 in eastern China's Suzhou, with over 500 players from 134 associations participating in the tournament.
