体坛英语新闻:Ronaldniho: I receive offers every day
RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Two-time FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho said Wednesday he receives offers "every day" from clubs interested in signing him.
The 35-year-old, a free agent after leaving Fluminense by mutual consent last week, dismissed speculation he could retire during a radio interview with Rede Atlantida.
"I'm going to continue playing for a some time," Ronaldinho said. "There are offers every day. I feel healthy. The way I have been training I feel like I can still play at the same level as others and that motivates me to keep playing."
Ronaldinho failed to score or make an assist in nine matches for Fluminense, having joined the club less than two months after leaving Mexico's Queretaro.
The former Barcelona star is currently taking time off in his home city of Porto Alegre in southern Brazil. While declining to say where his next move might be, Ronaldinho admitted he had unfinished business in his homeland.
"The [Brazilian Serie A] championship is one of the titles that I haven't won," Ronaldinho said. "Unfortunately that didn't happen this year. Sometimes people invent things, especially at Fluminense where there is an intense political battle involving people who want to join the board.
"When you don't achieve your goals you lose your enjoyment. But when you start winning again it's inevitable that the smile comes back.
"I had no problems with Fluminense's players. Training wasn't a problem. The problem was that I wasn't able to perform in matches. I was coming off a difficult phase [in Mexico] and Fluminense were also struggling."
