体坛英语新闻:Bayern set new record in German Bundesliga
BERLIN, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Bayern set a new record after beating Bremen 1-0 while Max Kruse's hattrick moved Wolfsburg 4-2 past Hoffenheim and Schalke craved out a late 2-1 win over 10-man Berlin at the 9th round in Bundesliga on Saturday.
Bayern Munich remains the measure of all things in the Bundesliga, as the front-runners maintained their perfect starting record after reaping the ninth victory in as many games. However, it was a stiff piece of work for the "Bavarians" as Bremen's defence failed just once.
Josep Guardiola's men dominated the game from the kickoff against the hosts, who lurked for counter opportunities deep in their territory. Even so Bremen kept all men behind the ball, Bayern were able to break the deadlock with 24 minutes into the game as Thiago Alcantara provided Thomas Mueller with a pinpoint cross over the defence, allowing the German international to slot home his 9th goal of the season.
It was all Bayern but Bremen squandered the golden chance to level the score as Anthony Ujah failed to overcome Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer from promising position. Nonetheless, Bayern cruised to the ninth win in row against hapless hosts who lacked in penetration over 90 minutes.
With the result, Bayern keep maintain their 7-point advantage atop the standings meanwhile Bremen stay on the 14th place after suffering their fifth straight loss.
Wolfsburg ended their three-game winless streak as Max Kruse's first career hat rick helped the "Wolves" to overpower resilient Hoffenheim 4-2.
The "Wolves" caught a fairy-tale start at home as Max Kruse opened the scoring with just 43 second into the game after utilizing a square pass by Julian Draxler.
Hoffenheim wobbled and were unable to respond while Wolfsburg gained momentum to double the lead through Bas Dost, who made use of Julian Draxler's second assist to head home at the far post with seven minutes played.
The hosts continued to work out the better chances but Hoffenheim reduced the arrears as Jeremy Toljan rounded off a fast break right-footed.

Fourth placed Berlin ensured the first highlight of the game as striker Vedad Ibisevic was sent off with a straight red card following a rude foul play to Max Meyer in the 18th minute.

Elsewhere, Hamburg and Leverkusen shared the spoils following a goalless draw. Newly promoted Darmstadt snatched their third win of the season with a 2-0 at Augsburg and Monchengladbach crushed Frankfurt, thanks to four second half goals, 5-1.
Sunday's fixtures conclude the 9th round of Bundesliga: Cologne host Hannover and Stuttgart face newly promoted Ingolstadt.
