MADRID, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid surrendered their leadership of the BBVA Primera Liga as they were beaten 3-2 away to Sevilla in the last game of matchday 11 in Spain.

The defeat in the last game before the 'Clasico' between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona on November 21st sees Barca take a 3-point lead at the top of the table.

In the last game of the weekend, Real Madrid had taken the lead thanks to Sergio Ramos' spectacular overhead kick against his former club, but damaging his already weak shoulder in the process and he was replaced by Rafael Varane.

Sevilla leveled through Ciro Immobile 9 minutes before the break, although in fairness the striker missed chances to have scored a hat-trick and it was not until just after the hour that the home side, cheered on by a packed house, took the lead.

Ever Banega exchanged passes with Yebhen Konoplyanka before slotting home from eight yards and when Fernando Llorente headed in the third it looked like game over, although James Rodriguez showed his class by netting Madrid's second late in injury time.

Earlier in the day Neymar and Luis Suarez again turned on the style for Barcelona to allow them to defeat Villarreal 3-0 in the Camp Nou Stadium.

Following an even first half against an impressive rival, Neymar opened the scoring after a through ball from Sergio Busquets, before Suarez doubled Barcelona's lead from the penalty spot after Munir had been fouled.

Sunday kicked off with Athletic Club Bilbao winning their fourth game in five to move into the top-half of the season.

Inaki Williams' wonder goal and a smart header from Raul Garcia gave them a 2-1 win against a combative Espanyol, for whom Hernan Perez scored early in the second half.

Paco Alcacer and Dani Parejo saved the job of their under-fire Valencia boss Nuno Espirutu Santo with two goals each that helped their side to a 5-1 away win against Celta Vigo.

Celta kicked the game off in third place in the BBVA Primera Liga, but never looked in the game against a rival under huge pressure following a 1-0 Champions League defeat away to Gent in midweek.

Alcacer opened the scoring in the 12th minute and although Augusto Fernandez levelled soon afterwards, Parejos goals either side of halftime put the visitors 3-1 ahead before Alcacer's second goal and Mustafi sealed the win.

Levante remain bottom despite a 1-1 draw at home to Deportivo la Coruna, which came thanks to Roberto Camarasa's 53rd minute goal while cancelled out Lucas Vazquez's opener for the visitors.

Sergi Enrich netted twice as Eibar's outstanding start to the campaign continued with a 3-1 win at home to Getafe which propels the Basque side, who have the smallest budget in La Liga, into the battle for Europe. Victor Rodriguez netted for the visitors before a Saul Berjon penalty sealed the points in the Ipurua Stadium.

Rayo Vallecano also claimed an important win thanks to two goals from striker Javi Guerra, who put them 2-0 up against the side second from bottom of the table in just 10 minutes.

Babin scored a second half goal for Granada, but Rayo showed their teeth to take a much needed win. Finally Ruben Castro's second half goal decided the Andalusian derby away to Malaga, who have just two wins all campaign.
