体坛英语新闻：FC Ingolstadt sign Paraguayan striker Dario Lezcano

BERLIN, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Ingolstadt have reinforced their team with striker Dario Lezcano who joined from FC Luzern, the Bundesliga newcomers announced on Friday.

The 25-year-old Paraguay international arrived from Swiss outfit FC Luzern and has put pen to paper on a deal until June 2020. Although both sides agreed to keep silence over further contract details, Lezcano is the most expensive transfer in Ingolstadt's club history.

"Dario Lezcano is a strong striker who has already proved his goal scoring abilities. His coolness in front of the goal as well as his tireless will to win distinguishes him. The long-term contract shows that we are convinced that we will have a lot of fun with Dario," Ingolstadt's sporting director Thomas Linke said.

In four years with FC Luzern, Dario Lezcano scored 31 goals in 100 appearances. He made his debut for Paraguay's national team in October 2015 to mark one goal in three caps ever since.

"The Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world. I approach this challenge with great anticipation, motivation and confidence. We want to celebrate staying up in the league with the supporters at the end of the season. And I want to contribute my part," the new arrival told the club's official homepage.

Newly promoted Ingolstadt sit on the 11th place of the standings. They face Mainz at the 18th round of Bundesliga on January 23.
